Achieving ISO 19650 Certification from BSI

Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), one of Nesma & Partners has passed the ISO 19650-1:2018 and ISO 19650-2:2018 audits and gained the Kitemark certificate in BIM Delivery Phase: BIM for Design, Construction, and Commissioning from the British Standards Institute (BSI).

The accreditation is a testament to the company’s implementation of the highest international standards and best practices to keep up with the construction industry's high demand and requirements for Building Information Modelling (BIM). The certification was conferred following audits on four ongoing projects, demonstrating and establishing full implementation of relevant BIM templates, processes, and techniques.

A handing-over ceremony occurred at Nesma & Partners Head Office, and our President and CEO, Mr. Samer Abdul Samad, and other management team members attended it. The event included an introduction to the ISO 19650 certificate and a brief about the audit process, the projects tackled, and their output. The certificate was rewarded at the ceremony’s conclusion.

Stressing the importance of achieving such a certificate, our President and CEO, Mr. Samer Abdul Samad, said: “We are proud of our team that has worked hard to achieve this certification which highlights our commitment towards providing quality BIM services and complying with international standards. This achievement will enhance efficiency, improve credibility, increase customer satisfaction, and differentiate the company from its competitors.”

It is worth noting that the British Standards Institute is the national standards body of the United Kingdom, which helps organizations around the world in building capability and competence as well as embedding excellence for sustainable growth.
