He added: “This award cements our position as a leading contracting company and a major contributor to Saudi Arabia’s industrial and infrastructure sectors. It motivates us to continue our journey towards excellence via the highest standards to benefit our business, society, and the environment.”

Nesma & Partners has been continuously working to increase the Kingdom’s global economic competitiveness and ultimately contribute to its future prosperity. To that effect, the company established guidelines to prioritize localized goods, in addition to evaluating methods to select and enter into agreements with suppliers with high ICV scores, which improved the scores in local purchases from Saudi Manufacturers and Suppliers in 2022.

Besides strengthening the Saudi supply chain, Nesma & Partners has launched key initiatives to support nationalization, including the Comprehensive Development Program aimed at improving national employees' technical, leadership, and communication capabilities. The program includes different types of training, such as vocational training, HSE, English, and Soft Skills. The program had a year-over-year growth rate of 122% in the number of participants, with 1,313 Saudis trainees in 2021 and over 8,000 trainees since its inception in 2012.

In its employment schemes, the company targets youth nationals with technical engineering and business degrees by actively participating in specialized job fairs to attract the best talents the Kingdom offers. It also implements a wide range of recruitment approaches to enrich the technical pool of construction professionals, which resulted in hiring and training local candidates in several vocational fields.

Beyond its employees, the company also implemented programs that targeted other stakeholders through Supplier Development ICV online courses in relevant fields. 64 online sessions were conducted by internal departments and have attracted over 1,200.

Nesma High Training Institute (NHTI) has also hired dedicated trainers who can deliver sessions in multiple languages resulting in over 10,000 attendees from the company’s different suppliers.

Moreover, Nesma & Partners has been submitting to local authorities to work on localizing materials unavailable within the Kingdom. It has achieved high IKTVA local content rates while working with Aramco every quarterly period throughout 2022.

Nesma & Partners are committed to building excellence by being a sustainable corporate citizen that operates in harmony with the local community and environment while maintaining the highest global standards to significantly impact the Saudi economy and progress and fulfilling the Kingdom’s current and future requirements for advanced infrastructure.

“This initiative highlights the importance of in-kingdom contribution as a pillar towards our company’s strategy for growth. We also continue maximizing the localization of our supply chain, with our total procurement from local vendors reaching 40% in the past few years. And today, our efforts towards In Kingdom Total Value Add were rewarded by receiving the Iktva Excellence Award Highest Overall iktva Performance in the Construction sector.

We shall continue to support sustainable development in the Kingdom by empowering the local talents, businesses and industries, and the overall Saudi economy,” Mr. Samer concluded.
